WELCOME TO PROJECT HEAL!

What is Project Heal? Project Heal is a paid Peer Mentor program designed for young artists who are passionate about the intersection of music and mental health. The Project Heal cohort is made up of 10 artists who will be paid for four hours of training a week. During this time, artists will learn to master Ableton Recording software so that they can write, record, and produce their own audio artwork. Artists will also be trained in various aspects of mental health support so that they can become peer leaders in their communities and learn to support other youth who are navigating mental health and wellness challenges.

Who is eligible for Project Heal? Artists ages 18 - 24 with a passion for audio arts and mental health who can commit to 4 hours a week of work at the Creation District.

What will I get out of Project Heal? Paid work experience, access to free recording, mental health Peer Mentorship training, a creative community, training to use Ableton recording software, support in producing an album.

What do I need to commit to Project Heal? A commitment to attend 4 hours a week of paid training at the Creation District, a commitment to Creation District Creative Space agreements, willingness to participate in the Project Heal final album and outreach project.
